World Cup 2010 – Group H highlights
Chile 1-0 Switzerland highlights
Venue Port Elizabeth
21 June 2010
kick off:15:00 CET
Very impressed with Chile in the first half but all credit to Switzerland in the second half, they set their stall out and did it very well. In the end, one great move from Chile won it. It was possibly a fair result but the sending off was key, although Chile were almost undone by it because the Swiss just defended. The referee was out of his depth, he almost lost control. About 10 players were booked, good players will now miss the next game for nothing.

74 mins GOAL Chile 1-0 Switzerland
It had to happen… Estaban Paredes breaks the offside trap and races into the Swiss box, only to be confronted by the onrushing Diego Benaglio. However, the second-half sub skips around the keeper before sending over a superb cross for Mark Gonzalez, who heads into the net from four yards with a defender in desperate chase to clear the ball. The former Liverpool winger, born and raised in South Africa, rushes to the thousands of fans who have gone bananas. A deserved goal considering how they have dominated most of this game.
