Arsenal starting off their Champions League campaign this season in a negative fashion after being defeated by Borussia Dortmund this midweek and Gunners’ manager, Arsene Wenger admitted that his side deserved to be beaten in that game.

Wenger congratulated Dortmund not only for the win but also their excellent performance in that game, while stating that Gunners were not playing well in that game.

Furthermore, despite admitting his team’s poor performance, Wenger also rues some of the missed chances that his team had in that match as thing might turned differently should they converted those opportunities.

Meanwhile, Gunners’ winger, Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain also agreed that his team were not playing well against Dortmund, but he also stated that his side probably should avoid conceding the first goal as it happened just before half time break.

Chamberlain stated that avoided that late goal could give a much better condition for Arsenal in the second half as they were not forced to chase the game, which eventually opened up more space for Dortmund.
