Tottenham Hotspur temporarily moving up into second place seat in current Premier League standings following their slender win over Newcastle United on Saturday.

Playing in front of their home crowd at Wembley, Spurs were putting on an attacking approach straight from kick off.

However, Mauricio Pochettino’s men were struggling to break down their opponent’s defense as Rafael Benitez’ men were showing strong resilience.

After a goalless first 45 minutes, both teams were getting more desperate for goals, especially Tottenham since they are playing at home.

The Lilywhites continue to push hard and their relentless effort was finally rewarded when seven minutes from time, Son Heung-Min broke the dead lock with his long range effort.

That goal lasted until the final whistle was blown as Tottenham secured an important three points that puts them second for at least 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Chelsea were able to bounce back from their midweek disappointment after trashing struggling Huddersfield Town 5-0.

Gonzalo Higuain and Eden Hazard put on an excellent display as both scored two goals each for The Blues.

Another goal in that game was netted by David Luiz to complete their five goals thumping of the relegation bound Huddersfield.

It was an important result indeed for Maurizio Sarri’s men as they have been recieving many critics following their previous defeat from Bournemouth.
