Recent controversial bribing scandal that struck FIFA, leading to several high ranks staff being arrested along with Sepp Blatter’s resignation apparently doesn’t give much concern for Russia regarding their status as World Cup 2018 host.

That positive feeling was shouted out by their Sport Minister, Vitaly Mutko, who said to the press that Russia doesn’t feel threatened in any kind of way with the current situation.

Despite recent investigation regarding their World Cup hosting bid sometime ago, Mutko believes that everything has already been setup so there shouldn’t be any doubt in trusting Russia as World Cup host.

Recently there’s some suggestion that a new voting should be done in choosing for WC host for 2018 and 2022, especially with suspicion of bribery happens for those bidding.
