Confirming their passage into the next stage of UEFA Champions League after eliminating  Schalke, it was all smiles and joy for Los Blancos as they have to lose one of their important players this season, Jese Rodriguez. The Spain international player picked up an ACL tear during that midweek Champions League clash against Schalke, a condition which apparently forced him to miss out the remaining of this current season.

Jese’s performance under Carlo Ancelotti’s reign this season has been a revelation to say the least as he managed to outshone several other Madrid’s young talents, such as Isco and also Illaramendi, who were brought in with huge amount of sum this summer. Coming from Madrid’s youth setup, Jese obviously didn’t cost much for Los Blancos and his talent really blossom this time around, triggering interesting from Spanish head coach, Vincente Del Bosque to consider the 21-year-old for La Furia Roja’s World Cup setup.

Unfortunately, with this current set back, Jese’s hope for his first World Cup appearance basically ended as he will require some time to fully recover from an ACL injury. Madrid’s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti voiced out his support for his young talent, ensuring that he will remain an important part of Madrid’s future once he returns to action.
