Disappointing news arrived for Real Madrid defender, Raphael Varane, as the defender won’t be available for upcoming Euro 2016 due to a thigh injury.

In place of Varane, France’s head coach, Didier Deschamps opted to call Sevilla defender, Adil Rami, who is immediately added into Les Bleus 23 man squad.

That decision was also confirmed by France’s Football Federation, stating through their official twitter page that Varane won’t make it to Euro and his position is taken by Rami.

That was definitely a disappointing situation for Varane as he has also been confirmed to miss out on Madrid’s upcoming Champions League final.

Varane picked up a problem on his thigh during training session with Madrid and after further examination, it was concluded that he will be missing way too many games for Euro 2016, so Deschamps decided to leave the defender out.
