O’Neill Admitted Sending Off Helped Sunderland Beat Fulham

Sunderland boss Martin O’Neill was delighted with his team’s success in beating Fulham 3-1 on Sunday, but O’Neill admitted that the man advantage paid an important part in the Black Cats’ victory.

O’Neill said that the sending off obviously changed the balance of play and his team managed to take full advantage over the situation. However, the manager still think that Fulham remained a danger as Martin Jol’s men created several dangerous goal scoring chances even after playing with a man down.

The tactician also gave his goal keeper, Simon Mignolet, a credit after making great saves in the game.
