It was another comfortable win for PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie as they hammered Heerenveen 5-1 at Philips Stadion. However, it wasn’t just the victory that hit the headlines, but also a lovely goal scored by Dries Mertens along with his celebration.
PSV’s midfielder striker a wonderful curling shot passed Heerenveen keeper, from just outside of the penalty area. Expressing his joy, Mertens showed a golf like celebration afterwards, something that has been previously done before by several other players but remain an interesting way to express a goal.
