Roberto Mancini has reiterated that Manchester City want to sell Carlos Tevez in January rather than send the controversial striker out on loan.

Tevez is currently AWOL in South America after refusing to return to training following his well-publicised spat with the club and AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani stated this week that the Italian side had made an offer to take the Argentine on loan until the end of the season.

But Mancini wants the former Manchester United star out of the club on a permanent basis. He said: “I don’t know about this situation at the moment, but we want to sell Tevez…we don’t want Tevez to go on loan.”
