Highlights: Ajax Amsterdam finally broke their winless run in the league after defeating home team, PEC Zwolle on the weekend.
Ajax's last league win came in September 29, this year, so Ronald De Boer's men were very eager to get things going against Zwolle. It didn't take long for the visitor to get their act together as Toby Alderweireld gave them the lead after just 12 minutes.
The Amsterdammers doubled their lead shortly before the half time break through Victor Fisher's simply finish from inside the penalty area. Fischer netted his second in the game and his side's third soon after the re-start, heading in a cross from the right side.
Siem De Jong seemingly sealed the win for Ajax midway into the second period with a fine low shot inside the box. The home side were not keen in staying scoreless though as they netted two in the space of two minutes through Denni Avdic and Jesper Drost, giving a much respectable look on the scoreline.
