After a rather dull first 45 minutes which saw both teams failing to convert any of their goal scoring opportunities, it was Gladbach that got themselves in front when Max Kruse converting from the spot kick on 81 minutes. The home side eventually sealed all three points from that encounter as Raffael netted the second goal four minutes from time.
