Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe: "I'm pleased with the performance, it was a very difficult game in tough conditions. We had a slight readjustment in our backline again with Simon Francis missing out and Jack Simpson playing left-back.
"Those adjustments considered, I thought the players gave everything to win. It could have gone either way at the end, they had chances and we had chances, but we'll take the point and try to build on it.
"We didn't quite know what to expect from Arsenal, we assumed the philosophy would change and I think it did, it was quite visible to see Arsenal playing in a slightly different way.
"The system was different but we couldn't plan for that as we had no idea really what they were going to do - we had to plan for us and make sure we were better than we were against Burnley and learn from that experience - and I think we did."
