Sir Alex Ferguson may be winning a double silverware this season, however the Scot revealed the team miss “Ronaldo factor” and you all probably know why he’s referring to Cristiano Ronaldo at this moment.

Manchester United have pole position in the race for Premier League and UEFA Champions League title and, despite the fact “Ronaldo factor” might be the missing piece of a puzzle, Fergie has heaped praise on his team and that never-say-die philosophy they master.

“This team might not have the ‘Ronaldo’ factor, but it doesn’t understand the word defeat,” Fergie stated.

“It’s determined, gritty and very professional, and it’s produced some great moments.

“It’s not as if we’ve been devoid of that [‘fantasy’]. Some of the football we’ve seen from the players this season has been terrific.”

United are eyeing to snatch their 19th championship title, however Ferguson still reiterates his claim they are not pretty big about it, but what are all the famous mind games for, then?

He added: “I don’t think it’s on our minds at the moment.

“If we achieve it, it’ll be great to reflect on, but at the moment we know we’ve got some hard games left.

“We look forward to the challenge, though. It’s important to keep momentum going by winning games. That’s vital.

“Draws don’t come into it now, it’s all about wins. We’ve got a big few games coming up and we need to win them.”

United have a couple of crucial matches ahead, such as this week’s clash at the Emirates and the one against their fiercest rivals at the moment, Chelsea on May 8. While everybody is tipping United will easily lose points, the boss expects more drama.

“The slant I seemed to be getting is that Arsenal and Chelsea are expecting to win these games and change the top of the league,” he commented.

“Why can’t we win these matches? Surely, given the form we are in, we can.

“It is not going to be any easier for Arsenal or Chelsea than it is for us. These are difficult games.”
