England will receive a boost with the return of midfielder Gareth Barry for Friday’s clash with Algeria.
The Manchester City man is fit again after an ankle injury and his return will allow manager Fabio Capello to go back to the formation that saw the Three Lions take all before them in UEFA qualifying.
Capello will double Barry with Frank Lampard in central midfield whilst moving Steven Gerrard to the left with those three playing behind Emile Heskey and Wayne Rooney.
This will be more like the formation Capello used as England scored 34 goals in their 10 qualifying matches with goals the order of the day as the Three Lions search for a first win in the 2010 World Cup.
