The much-coveted Gary Cahill remains at Bolton despite a huge amount of interest from other clubs in the Premier League. They have not received any firm offers for the England defender however and boss Owen Coyle has sent a message to possible suitors to ‘put up or shut up’. Coyle admits that Cahill’s head has been turned by reported interest this summer with the player keen to test himself in the Champions League.

The club are in the market for a new striker having lost Johan Elmander in the summer and with Daniel Sturridge returning to parent club Chelsea. That leaves them with just Kevin Davies as their main striker and Coyle is keen to freshen up his attack ahead of the kick-off next weekend. He has been linked with a move for Birmingham striker Cameron Jerome who looks set to leave the club following their relegation last season. He has monitored the quick forward all summer but has so far baulked at the £5 million price tag placed on his head.

Coyle is willing to do business but will not go above a figure of £3 million whilst Fulham are also interested. Birmingham are looking to move players on but boss Chris Hughton has stated that players will only leave on his terms, ‘There’s speculation about a lot of names but until they leave, they remain Birmingham City players…’ The latest news can be found at www.bwfc.co.uk.
