Now one of the most recognisable faces in European club football, the gloriously-named Zlatan Ibrahomovic has had a nomadic, but incredibly successful career.

The two Serie A titles he helped Juventus win were later revoked in a match-fixing scandal, but in any case Ibra was soon off to Inter Milan, for perhaps the best spell of his career… three straight Scudettos and a goal every other game. In 2009, Barcelona offered cash and Samuel Eto’o for his services, a deal which valued Zlatan at 66 million Euros. The move lasted one season, in which Barca won La Liga and he fell out with Pep Guardiola…. so it was back to Italy, this time to AC Milan… and another championship in his first season.

Few players can match Ibrahimovic’s medal collection, or his goal tally, and he shows no sign of letting up. Milan may have surrendered the Serie A title last season, but he had his most prolific campaign yet with 35 goals. The numbers don’t add up quite so well on the international front. His 80 caps for Sweden include a two year spell when he didn’t score at all.
