Netherlands playmaker Wesley Sneijder dismisses reports that he has fallen out with team-mate Robin Van Persie.
Arsenal forward Van Persie was seen remonstrating with coach Bert Van Marwijk when he was substituted during the last 16 encounter with Slovakia on Monday.
The 26-year-old was accused of telling Van Marwijk that he should have taken off Sneijder instead of him, as the Dutch went on to win the match 2-1.
But Inter Milan star Sneijder refused to accept the reports and claimed all was well in the Netherlands camp on the eve of their quarter-final showdown with Brazil.
“Robin assured me that he had not said those words and I have no reason to doubt him,” said Sneijder. “I don’t have a problem with him and I never have done. He was disappointed to come off, that one can understand and it really isn’t a serious matter. We will be united as never before against Brazil,” he added. “We have already drawn a line under the last 16 match and we will be 120 per cent raring to go against Brazil.”
