Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will give some of his fringe players a run-out in Tuesday’s Carling Cup quarter-finals clash with Manchester City.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Emmanuel Frimpong, Yossi Benayoun and Park Ju-Young should all start but Abou Diaby has been ruled out with a muscular injury. Manchester City meanwhile will also run the rule over reserve-team players for the clash at the Emirates.
Former England midfielder Owen Hargreaves could recover from a calf injury to make just his second start of the season whilst defenders Kolo Toure and Stefan Savic should also start.
