The five-month row with Manchester City appears to have finally ended, and Carlos Tevez has returned to Eastlands as the club prepare the final assault on the Premier League crown.  With City in prime position to capture their first league title in decades, the Argentinian is ready to scrap his appeals and help the “Noisy Neighbors” rip the crown from Sir Alex Ferguson’s hands.

What started back in September as a disagreement on the bench exploded into a five-month, £1.8 million lawsuit.  However, despite numerous appeals and the cold-shoulder treatment, Tevez has put it all behind him and is ready to join his teammates in their quest for glory.

Tevez’s statement said: ‘I wish to apologise sincerely and unreservedly to everybody I have let down and to whom my actions over the last few months have caused offence. My wish is to concentrate on playing football for Manchester City Football Club.’

Upon his arrival in England after a three-month unauthorized absence, the City striker was told he would need to apologize privately and publicly to Mancini if he wished to have any chance of playing again.

City also released a statement to Manchester City’s official website, saying, ‘Carlos Tevez has today apologised to all concerned for his recent conduct. Carlos returned to the football club last Tuesday, following a three-month absence from duties, without permission.

‘Carlos has also withdrawn his appeal against the club’s finding of gross misconduct which was due to be heard by a Premier League panel in the coming days. He has since begun a training programme designed to return him to optimum fitness.’

Manchester City’s crunch clash with Manchester United, a likely title decider, has been pushed to a Monday evening rather than the Sunday to accomodate the clubs Europa League committments.  All eyes will be watching the Manchester duo for the remainder of the season.  The one who can handle the pressure the most will likely lift the crown come May, but one can only sense a blue moon rising upon England.
