New signings– The club has been fairly quiet in the market so far but they have completed the signings of Myles Anderson from Aberdeen and David Goodwillie from Dundee but the two are yet to make their debut.
Star performer in pre-season – Chris Samba has been superb in pre-season so far for Rovers, as he was last season. After the loss of Phil Jones to Manchester United, it is imperative they keep hold of the big defender. David Dunn has also regained some form and will be a key player in the coming season.
Youngster watch – Junior Hoilett enjoyed a fine season in the Premier League last year and has become a key member of the first team squad. The club are also expecting big things from new signing David Goodwillie.
Strengths – They have a good defensive record and an experienced goalkeeper. They also have a vast amount of experienced players at the club.
Weaknesses – They desperately lack players who can put the ball in the back of the net and lack real width.
What they need – A defender, a winger and a striker.
