Zaccheroni Stepped Down from Japan After World Cup Failure

Only grabbing one point from three group games, Japan have to end their World Cup 2014 campaign in the group stages a situation that was not expected by the Asian giant forcing the eventual departure of Alberto Zaccheroni as their head coach.

Confirming the decision to the media, Zacherroni admitted that there’s something missing from his side in the World Cup as they failed to pick up one victory and even suffered a trashing 4-1 defeat on their final group game against Colombia.

That disappointing outcome urged the Italian to announce his departure from the Blue Samurai side, stating that it’s time for someone new to take his place and give new ideas for Japan squad.

Zaccheroni also hope that the new tactician will be able to further improve the Japanese squad and discover that missing ingredient that the Italian failed to find during this World Cup campaign.
