Arsenal’s ambition to get through into the Champions League Quarter final fell short again this season as they were eliminated by AS Monaco, despite winning the second leg battle 2-0.

That slender outcome on aggregate really frustrated Arsene Wenger, who bemoans how Monaco were able to get through despite not getting any shots on goal during that second leg match up.

However, Wenger admitted though that his side were guilty of throwing away their first game in which Gunners were beaten 3-1 at home.

The tactician stated that eventually everything was too difficult for them since chasing three goals away from home is never an easy task in Champions League.
