Failing to shine in his last few international fixtures with England still isn’t stopping Wayne Rooney being heralded as Three Lions’ main player especially for the upcoming World Cup 2014 in Brazil.
Not just echoed by many football enthusiasts, fellow Three Lions players, including Danny Welbeck also agrees that Rooney is still the nation’s best hope to lead them in Brazil.
Speaking to the press recently, Welbeck praises Rooney’s qualities, while adding his expectation in seeing his Manchester United teammate leading England in that tournament.
Although has been picking up a slight injury ahead of current World Cup preparation, Welbeck is confident that Rooney will get himself fit and raring to go for Three Lion’s opening game against Italy.
Speaking more about England’s upcoming opening fixture against Italy, Welbeck also reveals his hope to get a revenge after Three Lions’ being eliminated by Gli Azzurri on recent Euro meeting.
Welbeck stated that his team are not scared of Cesare Prandelli’s men, adding that Roy Hodgson’s boys will be targeting no other than three points on their World Cup opener.
