Wales showcasing positive mentality as after suffering a disappointing derby defeat against England, Chris Coleman’s men were able to bounce back immediately against Russia.
Gareth Bale and co were able to put tons of pressure on their opponent creating many openings, before eventually taking the lead with a lovely chip goal from Aaron Ramsey.
That opening goal gave more space for Wales to play on their fast counter attacking play, which eventually resulted in another goal, this time scored by Neil Taylor.
Russia tried to get back into the match, but they keep leaving spaces for The Dragons and instead of reducing their gap, Leonid Slutsky’s men found themselves three goals down on 67 minutes through Gareth Bale’s effort.
That convincing 3-0 victory didn’t only confirm Wales’ passage into the knock out stage, but also puts them as group winner ahead of England.
