Villas-Boas Rules Out Spurs Approach for New Striker

Tottenham Hotspur will be without their Togo striker, Emanuel Adebayor as he is set to participate in the African Cup of Nations, right after Spurs’ upcoming league game against Queens Park Rangers.

This situation will force Andre Villas-Boas’ men to have only one recognized striker in their upcoming matches, but it won’t forced them into getting into the market in search of a new attacker.

Villas-Boas admitted that losing Adebayor isn’t an ideal situation for them but they already prepare for other alternatives such as placing Clint Dempsey further forward. The tactician also rules out the signing of Leandro Damio, claiming it’s difficult to do.
