Victor Moses has signed for Liverpool from Chelsea on a season-long loan deal.
The Nigerian international had only arrived at the London club last summer after impressing for Wigan, but has been allowed a temporary move away as he doesn’t feature in Jose Mourinho’s immediate plans.
The player may well still have a future at Stamford Bridge though, as LFC news sites report there has been no option to buy included in the loan deal.
Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, Moses said: “First and foremost, I’m delighted to have made the loan from Chelsea to a big club like Liverpool.
“The most important thing is for me to be professional about it and I’m here to do a job for the club.
“The target is to get into the top four and for the club to compete in the Champions League – and I’m delighted to be here.
“The manager has done very well and the formation and players here will help me and I just want to gel in, get to know the players and play with them.
“There are a lot of quality players here – they’re winning games and creating chances. It’s a massive thing for me to be here.”
Moses started out at Crystal Palace before moving on to Wigan, where a string of good performances caught the eye of Chelsea. He made 42 appearances for the Blues last season, scoring 10 goals in the process.
Liverpool have been busy so far on transfer deadline day, with this becoming the third player they have signed today and rumours circulating of yet more new arrivals at Anfield.
