Performing well during their preseason tour, Manchester United will definitely face the ultimate test on their season opener, especially since they won’t be able to play Robin Van Persie in that tie against Swansea City.
This news was revealed by Man United’s boss, Louis Van Gaal, who confirmed that Van Persie won’t be playing in that Premier League first fixture since the Dutch international striker won’t be physically ready for that match.
Van Persie has just return for training on Monday after receiving an extended holiday due to his participation in World Cup 2014 where Netherlands made it way into the third place play offs.
Acknowledging the absentees of some of their players, Van Gaal warned his team not to take things lightly on their opening fixture as despite having a positive preseason things won’t be easy for them in the real match.
