Confidence is running high on Netherlands camp ahead of their World Cup adventure as head coach Louis Van Gaal insist that his team are flying to Brazil win one mission which is to win.
Although keen on pushing for the maximum, Van Gaal revealed that his target for Netherland at the World Cup is to carry them at least into semifinals stage, which the tactician seems confident in reaching.
In order to reach that goal, Van Gaal stated that he and his team has already decided on using certain kind of system which they already tried out on their latest friendly against Ghana.
The tactician believes that in order to do well, Netherlands must put on an effective style of football. However, Van Gaal also insisted that his current system won’t stop the Dutch from playing their usual beautiful football.
Being optimistic is a positive attitude, but Netherlands should really work hard in Brazil if they wan’t to reach their target as they could already be facing some difficulties during group stages since they are playing against Spain, Chile and Australia.
Obviously, the meeting against Spain will attract many attention as that game was a repeat of 2010 World Cup final which saw Netherlands left with disappointment as they were defeated by La Furia Roja on that moment.
