Failing to make any sort of impact during Euro 2012 under Laurent Blanc, Mathieu Valbuena transformed into an important player for current Les Blues team coached by Didier Deschamps.
Valbuena has been key in France’s two group matches against Honduras and Swiss, which both ended in victories for Les Blues. The Marseille star also scored one goal during his team’s victory over Swiss, which further justified Deschamps’ decision in picking the ‘little magician’.
Being an important figure under Deschamps side, Valbuena admitted to the press that things didn’t actually all rosy between him and the tactician, especially during their early days at Marseille.
However, everything is all well now for Valbuena and obviously France public is hoping that the attacking midfielder can keep on providing positive performance for Les Blues in this current World Cup 2014.
