Tottenham Hotspur’s mission to overcome Liverpool this weekend can’t get any more tougher as reports stating that Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be playing without two important players, Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli.
Those negative news were stated by Spurs’ Pochettino’s himself in a recent news conference explaining that both players’ absence happened due to injuries.
Lloris, who recently has also been hit with drunk driving problems, picked up a thigh injury recently, while Alli had a hamstring issues which also prevented him to participate with England during recent international break.
Pochettino admitted that he is not happy with the situation, notably with Alli’s absence as the midfielder could also be missing Tottenham’s opening Champions League encounter against Inter Milan next mid week.
Missing those two quality players certainly making things tougher for the Lilywhites, notably since their battle against Liverpool can helped Spurs regain their confidence after suffering a shock defeat on their latest league fixture against Watford.
However, there’s not only bad news arriving for Pochettino’s side as despite having to miss Alli and Lloris, the tactician can now call upon Heung Min Son to give that boost for them up front.
The Korea Republic international has finally returned from his Asian Games duty and will be really motivated to play with the Lilywhites after successfully grabbing the gold medal in that tournament.
