Tottenham Not Giving Up on Title Chase as They Beat Palace

Tottenham Hotspur remain focus and determined to push Chelsea hard in the battle for English Premier League title this season as Mauricio Pochettino’s men picked up an important win over Crystal Palace.

Playing not long after their disappointing FA Cup semifinal defeat from The Blues, Spurs were keen on maintaining their winning run in the league going.

It was not an easy match though for the Lilywhites as their opponent have also been picking up some positive results of late.

Both sides were determined in getting maximum points from that midweek encounter, triggering a tight battle, notably in the first 45 minutes which ended 0-0.

Things continue to look interesting after the break, but eventually it was Spurs that got that needed break through when Christian Eriksen finished off an assist from Harry Kane on 78 minutes.

With just over 10 minutes left in the clock, Palace didn’t have much time to get themselves back on level terms as Spurs simply did more than enough to secure all three points in the end.

An important result indeed for Pochettino’s men, knowing that their rival, Chelsea have previously won their game against Southampton.

Meanwhile, Arsenal still keeping their top four dream alive following a hard fought victory over defending champions Leicester City.

The match ended in a 1-0 victory for Gunners and it was far from convincing as the only goal arrived just four minutes from time through an own goal by Robert Huth.
