Tottenham Hotspur entered the semifinal stage of the Carabao Cup after ousting Manchester United 4-3 in the quarter-finals round. Ange Pastecoglu’s men almost threw away a comfortable 3-0 first-half lead but managed to hold off their opponent in a thrilling contest.

Both teams have gone through a roller coaster results this season although Spurs beat Man United in their earlier meeting in the Premier League. Nevertheless, it was difficult to predict which side would come out to showcase their quality in the midweek tie.
Just like in their first meeting, it was Tottenham that made the better start as they got a 3-0 lead during the first 45 minutes with a brace from Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski’s effort. However, that comfortable lead got cut midway into the second half as Man United pulled two goals back from Joshua Zirkzee and Amad Diallo.
