Tottenham Hotspur’s chance to win the Carabao Cup this season is certainly tough as after eliminating Arsenal in the quarter finals, they must face up against Chelsea in the next round.
This realization occurred after recent drawing for the competition which saw Mauricio Pochettino’s men being paired with Maurizio Sarri’s side, while another tie will be between Manchester City against Burton Albion.
Although not being considered as a massive cup competition in England, but already reaching the later stage, any teams, including for Tottenham.
Not having silverware to show under Pochettino’s reign, the Lilywhites might be keen on pushing hard in getting their hands on the Carabao Cup this time around.
That strong will in winning can be seen on how they put out a strong squad on their derby battle against Arsenal on Wednesday, in which Spurs won 2-0.
Pochettino’s men avenged their previous loss in the Premier League with goals scored by Son Heung-Min and Dele Alli.
Delighted with that victory, but now they are on for another difficult tie as The Blues under Sarri has been putting on a very good display so far this season.
Pochettino himself admitting that they are in for another tough battle, but spirit is currently high on Tottenham’s camp as they are looking forward for the semifinals tie.
