Terry Announced Retirement from International Football

Surprising news arrived from England as Chelsea’s skipper, John Terry, announced his retirement from international football with immediate effect.

Terry’s decision to retire from the national team came just 24 hours before the center back faces FA disciplinary hearing over an alleged racist comment made to Queens Park Rangers’ defender, Antoine Ferdinand.

In his statement, Terry said that he made the decision because with FA’s decision in pursuing that case despite already being cleared on court will eventually make his place in the English national team untenable.  This decision means that the 31-year-old defender is set to focus everything for Chelsea.
