Sunderland Boss O’Neill Rues Missed Chances Against Liverpool

Sunderland manager Martin O’Neill was left disappointed with his team’s 3-0 defeat against Liverpool on Wednesday, but he admitted that his side were outplayed by their opponent.

Speaking to the media after the match, O’Neill stated that overall the Reds were playing much better and deserved their victory over the Black Cats, but the tactician felt that should his side did better in the first half, things could turned out differently.

The manager said that his side should’ve taken one of their goal scoring chances in the first period as that could’ve helped their game. Furthermore, he was also disappointed with the way Sunderland conceded two poor goals in the game.
