England national team finally picked up their first win in Euro 2016 after defeating their Great Britain ‘brother’ Wales 2-1 this midweek.
Three Lions didn’t have the best of first half though as they found themselves trailing 1-0 during that first 45 minutes through Gareth Bale’s free kick.
However, inspired substitutions made by Roy Hodgson, were able to turn things around as Jamie Vardy equalized on 56 minutes, before Daniel Sturridge struck late in stoppage time to give England that important three points.
It was an important win indeed for Three Lions, especially since that game were very close to end in another draw, before Sturridge came up with that late winner.
There’s no time left for Wales to get back on level terms as they will feel rather bitter for losing out to their big brother in this major tournament.
