Although the England international ‘only’ scored from a penalty spot, but netting a centenary goals is always a special occasion, especially for a midfielder, who didn’t spent most of his time in front of opponent’s goals.
Since his early days with the Reds, Gerrard have scored plenty spectacular efforts and doing it for just one club surely making it super special, especially in this current modern game where many footballers easily moves around from one clubs to another. The veteran midfielder has been around since Gerard Houllier days and notably had his best scoring years under the reign of Rafael Benitez, in which he also captained the Reds in grabbing Champions League glory.
