Although recent report suggesting that Gareth Bale might be set for an exit from White Hart Lane, but Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to block that path as they hold talks in extending the Welshman’s current deal with Andre Villas-Boas’ side. It was Villas-Boas himself who apparently confirmed that there’s an on-going talks between the club and Bale regarding a new contract, which will hopefully persuade the winger to stay with the Premier League side.
Previously, there’s a strong rumors from Spanish media claiming that Bale has already reached a personal agreement with La Liga giant, Real Madrid, to arrive at Santiago Bernebau this summer. This news seemed to unsettle Spurs and Bale, triggering the talks about new contract deal for the Welshman.
