Spurs Boss Villas Boas Defends Gareth Bale

Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-0 victory over Fulham apparently cost something for Spurs as they lose their winger Gareth Bale who picked up an injury during that tie and will be out for at least two weeks.

Aside from getting injured, Bale also picked up another yellow card for diving, which is the second he received in a row. This triggered sayings that the Welshman is now considered a diver, something which Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas completely disagree.

Villas-Boas said that Bale is a difficult player to mark and with his recent injury problems at times he opted to protect himself with some moves that can’t be considered as diving.
