Spartak Moscow pretty much ended their Champions League qualification bid after suffering a 3-0 home defeat over Barcelona on Tuesday. Although was obviously disappointed with the result, Spartak coach, Unai Emery said that he is still proud of his players performance.
Emery stated that his team actually played a good first half and created several good chances that they couldn’t take. However, the tactician admitted that they were beaten by the better team, who have a magic charm on Lionel Messi.
The tactician said that Messi was simply the difference on the day as the Argentinian scored two goals in that game and was difficult to contain.
