After a disastrous World Cup 2014 campaign, Spain national side are set to restart their glory days in the upcoming weeks, but they will be without two experienced midfielder, Xavi Hernandez and Xabi Alonso who have retired from international football.

Acknowledging those two players contribution during La Furia Roja’s glory days, Spain’s head coach, Vicente Del Bosque, hails those two veteran midfield players saying that Xavi and Alonso can be considered as heroes for the national side.

Furthermore, Del Bosque also stated that he respected the choices made by those two as it’s probably what’s best for their career path, considering they have already over 30s.

Without both Xavi and Alonso, Del Bosque are setting up a much younger Spanish side as they’re gearing up for a friendly against France along with Euro 2016 qualification match against Moldova.
