England’s positive results under the current reign of interim boss, Gareth Southgate has apparently triggered speculation about him getting that position permanently.
That talk got bigger upon Three Lions’ recent World Cup 2018 qualifier victory over Scotland earlier this weekend, but apparently Southgate refused to speculate about it since it’s not his decision.
Speaking to the media recently, Southgate stated that he is not thinking about getting that permanent England manager role for now.
The former defender said that he is just focus on finishing his current work, which is being the temporary manager of Three Lions until FA said otherwise.
Nevertheless, Southgate obviously isn’t shutting down an opportunity should the FA really offer him that manager position, since the tactician always love to work with top players.
Southgate also added that despite several top names have somewhat failed to give success for England, he is not scared to become Three Lions’ boss.
Still, for him at the moment the is only thinking that it’s a wonderful experience for him as relatively young and new tactician in world football.
Following the short tenure of Sam Allardyce, England FA haven’t decided on a new replacement as just yet, though they already put Southgate temporarily in charge before they made their final decision.
