Shawcross Pledged Future to Stoke

Playing a big part in helping Stoke City becoming on of the best defensive side in the Premier League so far, Ryan Shawcross received a reward from the club as he was handed a contract extension.

Shawcross has reportedly signed a 5 and half year deal to stay at Britannia Stadium despite interest from several Premier League sides such as Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

The 25-year-old good form has also gained him a national team call up as he played in a friendly against Sweden last November. Swacross partnership with Robert Hugh at the heart of Stoke defense has earned them nine clean sheet so far this season.
