Switzerland got themselves off to a positive start in their Euro 2016 campaign after grabbing all three points against Albania this Saturday.
It was far from an easy tie though for Swiss as they have to thank their defender, Fabian Schar, who scored the only goal in that tie after just five minutes of play.
Despite facing a 10-men Albian side, following Lorik Cana’s sending off on 37 minutes, Swiss having problems adding to their victory and were even hanging on in the last 10 minutes of that tie.
Nevertheless, it was an important result for Vladimir Petkovic’s men as they can now face their upcoming games with more confidence after collecting three points.
Meanwhile, Albania can hold their head high as their brave performance receive many praises from fans, something they can also take as morale booster ahead of their second match in Euro 2016.
