Failing to put on any sort of consistency in the start of this new season, Bundesliga side, Schalke decided to remove Jens Keller as their tactician and replacing him with former Chelsea boss, Roberto Di Matteo.
Explaining that decision to the media, Schalke’s sporting director, Horst Heldt, stated that after such disappointing results in their last two games, the club’s management decided that it’s time for a new surrounding.
Heldt revealed that despite such quick announcement for Keller’s dismissal along with Di Matteo’s appointment, the director believes that it’s not something that Schalke decided in an instant.
Although Di Matteo hasn’t been involved in any managerial stuff in a while now, Schalke believes that his the right man for them as Heldt said that the Italian has his own philosophy which would be suitable with the Bundesliga outfit.
