Asian representative, Saudi Arabia successfully ending their World Cup 2018 campaign in a positive fashion following their 2-1 victory over Egypt.

It was nothing more than the battle of pride for both Saudi and The Pharaoh as neither teams have any shot of advancing into the knock out stage.

Although both teams are not playing for any meaningful goals, it was still an exciting encounter as they were pushing hard straight from kick off.

Egypt got themselves ahead when Mohamed Salah got his name in the score sheet for the second time in this tournament, scoring on 22 minutes.

Trailing 1-0 didn’t lower down Saudi’s spirit as they kept on pouring forward in search for an equalizing goal.

After missing a penalty early on, The Green Falcons got lucky in their second try as earned another spot kick which this time was successfully converted by Salman Al-Faraj just before half time whistle was blown.

Nothing changed much after the break with both teams continue to pour forward in search for that winning goal.

Just when that match looked to be ending in a draw, Saudi got themselves that important break through when Salem Al-Dawsari scored in stoppage time to give his team all three points.

That victory also means that Saudi fulfilled their mission ahead of that match, which is not finishing their World Cup campaign sitting last in the standings.
