Portugal are getting closer in fulfilling their ambition to win Euro 2016 as they manage to get into the final of that tournament following a comfortable 2-0 win over Wales.
Selecao finally got their first 90 minutes win in the tournament and their victory was inspired by none other aside from their star man, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Both teams were looking pretty equal during the first 45 minutes triggering a very tight encounter which saw that half ended in goalless draw.
However, the tie finally shifted into Portugal’s favor after the break, starting with Ronaldo’s headed goal on 50 minutes.
Three minutes later, the Real Madrid man was key again as his low driven half shot was converted into goal by Nani, making it 2-0.
From that moment on, Ronaldo practically run Selecao’s offensive play, creating plenty trouble for Wales despite playing more on the counter.
Conceding those two fast goals really put Chris Coleman’s side under lots of pressure as they have to chance their formation and mindset trying to chase the game.
Gareth Bale often looked frustrated as he has to push his team forward from the midfield way too often with the absence of Aaron Ramsey.
Naturally, it was not that difficult for Portugal to see off their opponent’s resistance as they comfortable hold down that two goals advantage until the final whistle was blown.
