Michael Owen may have been writing history by playing in many top European teams, but it was with Liverpool that his name becomes part of English football history.

Recapturing the old days of his time at Anfield, Football Association TV channel shared clip of Owen’s memorable FC Cup winning goal against Arsenal.

That match happened on May 12, 2001, a game where Liverpool dramatically got their hands on the historic trophy thanks to a late dash from Owen.

The striker showcasing his trademark pacey run as he burst through Gunners defense chasing down Patrik Berger’s long pass, before slotting the ball home pass David Seaman.
