As the season draws to a close, we’ll be taking a look at which players are in the running for the Top Scorer award for the 2020/21 season.
The Top Scorer market is available throughout the season but with only six matches remaining for many teams, we can now get a good idea of who is likely to claim the award.
Several betting sites listed on this best list of bookmakers are still taking bets on the 2020/21 Golden Boot.

Harry Kane became the bookies new favourite to be this season’s Top Scorer after bagging two goals away to Everton in Tottenham’s most recent match on Friday evening. The England striker was level on goals with Liverpool’s Mo Salah but after netting a brace, odds have been slashed on Kane holding onto that lead for the remainder of the season.
Kane won the Golden Boot in 2015/16 and again in 2016/17 and will be looking to claim it back in advance of heading into this years European Championships with England.
Although Spurs’ form has been on and off this season and the sudden departure of the clubs manager Jose Mourinho will surely shake things up, Harry Kane has remained a consistent player in the squad and it’s more than likely that we’ll see more goals from him in Tottenham’s remaining six league games.

Liverpool’s Mo Salah is currently on 19 goals this season, 2 behind Harry Kane and level and the same number as the Egyptian forward scored in the Premier League last season when he won the title with his club.
Liverpool haven’t been able to retain the form or results of last season but Salah has continued to find the net and is the bookies second favourite to claim the Golden Boot.
Salah has won the award twice previously in the 2017/18 season and again in 2018/19 and will be looking to net a few more goals this season to reclaim the title and help his club back up into a European spot in the Premier League table.

After joining the club from Sporting Clube de Portugal in January 2020, Fernandes has been an instant hit and an essential part of United’s team. The Portuguese midfielder found the net 8 times in Manchester United’s remaining 14 matches last season and continued his fine form into this season, netting 16 goals in 32 games.
However, after a positive start to the season, Fernandes has only scored once in United’s last 7 matches which has caused his odds on being this seasons Top Scorer to drift out to 12/1 with some bookmakers. He’s ot out of the running yet, but with only six league matches remaining, he has a tough task ahead to make up the five-goal gap between himself and Kane.
- Club: Everton
- Goals: 14
- Played: 26
- Goals per 90 minutes: 0.56
- Odds: 50/1
Everton started the season in excellent form and carried that on throughout the first half of the season. Their success was partly due to the firepower of Calvert-Lewin who, despite only playing 26 games, has found the net 14 times.
Calvert-Lewin’s chances of claiming his first Golden Boot were hindered when Everton’s form took a dip. After hovering around the top 6 for the most part of the first half of the season, the Toffee’s now sit in 8th place and just 3 points ahead of mid-table Leeds United.
Calvert-Lewin would be an unlikely winner of this seasons Golden Boot with the bookies odds of 50/1 suggesting the same.
Along with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min (80/1) and Leeds United’s Patrick Bamford (66/1) are also both currently on 14 goals. Both are unlikely to be able to catch Harry Kane in remaining games but are possibilities for each way bets.
