Late former Portugal and Benfica star, Eusebio was given the honor of being interment into the country’s National Pantheon, which is a first time ever situation for any footballer in that nation.
Eusebio who is widely known as Selecao das Quinas’ legendary footballer as he brought many glory for his nation and totally deserved the current recognition.
The former European Cup winner unfortunately passed away back in January 2014 due to heart attack at the age of 71, leaving sadness to the country.
Decision to move Eusebio’s coffin into the Natinonal Pantheon comes after parliament decision back in February. The ceremonial itself was also led by Portugal’ president, Anibal Cavaco Silva.
